Refund Policy

Understand how refunds and cancellations are handled on Million Tour, including eligibility criteria, processing timelines, and non-refundable conditions.

Overview

Million Tour acts as a booking facilitator between travellers and independent tour operators, travel agencies, and other service providers ("Providers"). Refund and cancellation entitlements are governed primarily by the policies of the individual Provider whose services you have booked. Please review the Provider's specific cancellation and refund terms carefully before confirming any booking, as these are displayed at the time of purchase and form part of the booking contract between you and the Provider.

Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility is determined in accordance with the applicable supplier, vendor, hotel, airline, or tour operator policies in effect at the time of booking. Key principles include:

  • Not all bookings are eligible for a refund. Non-refundable packages are clearly identified prior to confirmation; by completing such a booking you accept the non-refundable terms.
  • Refund entitlements may vary depending on the type of service booked (e.g., accommodation, transportation, guided tours) and the specific Provider's terms.
  • Any promotional rates, last-minute offers, or special discount packages may be subject to stricter no-refund or limited-refund conditions.
  • In cases of Provider-initiated cancellations or significant itinerary changes, additional refund entitlements may apply as set out by the Provider or applicable consumer protection legislation.

Cancellation Timing

The timing of a cancellation request directly impacts the refundable amount. Cancellation policies typically operate on a sliding scale:

  • Cancellations made well in advance of the travel date generally attract a higher refund entitlement or a lower cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made closer to the departure or service date may result in partial forfeiture of the amount paid, in accordance with the Provider's policy.
  • Cancellation windows and penalty thresholds are specific to each Provider and each booking; these are disclosed during the booking process and in your confirmation documentation.

We strongly recommend reviewing the cancellation deadlines for your specific booking before requesting a cancellation.

Refund Processing Timeline

Once a refund has been approved by the relevant Provider and confirmed by Million Tour, the following timelines apply:

  • Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–15 business days from the date of approval, depending on the payment method used and the policies of your financial institution.
  • Refunds are returned to the original payment method used at the time of booking. We are unable to redirect refunds to a different payment instrument.
  • Bank processing times and card issuer policies may affect when the refunded amount appears in your account, and are outside Million Tour's control.
  • You will receive an email notificationyour refund has been processed on our end.

Non-Refundable Fees

Certain charges associated with your booking may be non-refundable regardless of the reason for cancellation:

  • Platform service fees charged by Million Tour for facilitating the booking.
  • Payment processing charges or convenience fees levied by payment gateway providers.
  • Third-party charges such as insurance premiums, visa processing fees, or charges imposed by airlines, hotels, or other Providers that are non-refundable under their own policies.
  • Currency conversion or foreign transaction fees charged by your bank or card issuer.

The total non-refundable amount will be clearly indicated in the cancellation summary before you confirm a cancellation request.

No-Shows & Last-Minute Cancellations

No refunds will be issued in the following circumstances, where the relevant Provider's policies prohibit refunds:

  • No-shows: Failure to appear at the designated departure point, hotel, or service location on the confirmed date and time without prior cancellation.
  • Missed departures: Missing a flight, transfer, cruise departure, or any other scheduled component of a booking due to late arrival or failure to comply with check-in requirements.
  • Last-minute cancellations: Cancellations made within the non-refundable cancellation window specified in the Provider's terms.
  • Unused services: Partially used bookings where you choose not to utilise remaining components of a confirmed itinerary.

In all such cases, Million Tour strongly recommends that travellers hold comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, curtailment, and no-show scenarios.
